Hi guys, I’m so sorry I’ve been so quiet, I’m still adjusting post surgery and busy with the house. You know when you get so behind but you have so much to say and you just don’t know where to start. I keep starting to write these posts for you and then I think, oh, but there is so much more! Gahhh!!! Where to start? I’m thinking the only option is actually to start, and maybe just keep going. There is so much going on here, I think you’re going to love it all. I hope you’ve been able to stay semi up-to-date on Facebook and Insta, I post a lot in my stories. I don’t think I ever miss a day, hint hint, if you’re looking for more.
Okay so 1. Surgery. I don’t want to do a dark post. I think that’s honestly what’s been holding me back here. There was so much darkness before surgery and I couldn’t bear to admit how bad it was. Post-surgery, I can see it and it was B.A.D. If it’s okay could we talk about it later? I’m still making peace with it all, the years of telling the doctors how bad it was, the tests, and treatments, trying to suck it up when I was made to feel it was ‘in my head.’ I need a little time to make some peace with all that and I don’t think I’m quite ready. K, let’s talk good things!! Post-surgery I’m doing so much better. Nothing is gone but everything is dialled back a couple years. They honestly gave me new life. I actually asked one of the doctor’s how my discs looked and he said they were definitely done and worn out. I feel SO much better not having them press on my spinal cord. That was total shit!
Alright, so I’ve been feeling a little poorly I’ve made you wait for blog posts so long that I thought I would give you some gifts of terribly embarrassing but completely entertaining true stories. If you followed the previous blog, a million years ago, you probably remember a series called ‘True Confessions.’ Well, let’s bring it back!!!! Lol. I’ll file them under ‘Hot Mess Mama.’
Well, I am hoping to get back into more of my normal shape now that I’ve had surgery. I just started last week and am taking it super slow. Well, last week I came back from the gym and while I was in the shower I could hear Henry (my faithful cocker spaniel) whining, he never whines! In a panic I jumped (old lady walked) out of the shower and in emergency style didn’t stop for a towel just went straight to the living room to check. I mean, he never whines! This is a rush rush scenario!! He was just hanging out by the patio door with a couple of his toys, you know how he loves his little toys! I was so relieved that he was okay, I kissed him and I took my head full of conditioner and 1 shaved leg back to the bathroom and carried on. Tra-la-la! But then, ohh yes, there’s more! Then I got out of the shower and proceeded to pick clothes for last weekednd’s road trip to the house while I ‘air dried.’’ But HEY!!! Did you know they are doing window cleaning in my building? They sent out an email, but like always I completely forgot. I do really wish I hadn’t forgotten, sigh. I finally went to close the window thinking the rattling was my neighbour setting up her patio. No, nooooo, sadly no.
Sooo that guy got quite the show, lol.
Have a great week.
