There are many reasons I become quiet on my blog. It is never that I have nothing to say. I hear people talking about having difficulty finding contet. Oh my heavens, that is not my problem! Honestly, it’s usually that I have too much to say. You guys; I so badly want to tell you all the things in my head, but I struggle with where the line is. Sooo, if you could give me a little feedback on what you love to hear and what you’re like, ‘OMG did she just say that?’ I would be ever so appreciative, lol.
Here are some topics I’m thinking we should discuss:
I’ve been trying out Keto, I lost 11 pounds but then I got stuck. This past weekend I totally cheated. We went to dinner with friends and I had an enchilada. They say if you’re going to cheat make it good! Mexican… totally worth it. So how do I like Keto? The jury is still out. I don’t love the amount of meat I have to consume, or the lack of fruits and vegetables. Surprisingly I don’t miss grains or sugar, well maybe I miss jujubes just a little. I still drink vodka and water, and an occassional glass of wine. I cut all the beer and cider and haven’t cheated once. I do find it hard to live in the middle of beautiful Prince Edward County and not eat corn and apples. We’re going to have to allow for some cheats here and there.
Keto Fact: I tried pork rinds. They are the most disgusting things I have ever put in my mouth. So then I tried them again! This time I got garlic flavor. Do you know what makes disgusting taste better? Certainly not garlic! Not a win.
My keto goals? I don’t need to be a skinny minie, I just want to lose the weight I gained after surgery, and be able to shave my legs without having to twist like a contortionists and have to reposition my belly fat. Not… Sexy. Lol.
The house: it’s amazing. Lets give it it’s own blog posts.
My surgery: it’s a whole big thing. Uggg. It deserves its own book. Short form, second surgery done. I am so much better than I was. BUT the damage is done and it will not heal. It may settle a bit, but this is my life. I have a new physiotherapist who is amazing. I go twice a week and potentially this may be a lifelong thing. This is my new job, 2 times a week I go to rehab, we do crazy things with needles and electric shocks, I’m pretty sure one day I’m going to be in the medical archives of crazy torture practices, lol. I do think it’s helping so I’ll be the best patient I can be. I also visited a new pain clinic, which….hmm, not so warm and fuzzy. It actually made me pretty sad. I’m not sure what you’d like to know and I was wondering if you would like if I did a couple posts about me and my medical joys and explained everything? Because I’m happy to, I just don’t want to bore you or make you feel sad. Think about it and let me know, we have no secrets anymore.
This is just a little pop-in post to let you know we are back in business. I have a line up of posts coming up this fall, kitchens, bathrooms, DIY crafts, photography tips, travel.
There may be other plans already in the works so I won’t get upset if it’s just a quick trip to a vineyard down the street.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Get ready for an explosion of post and catching up, oh and I promised on IG to spend more time in front of the camera. I’d love to hear from you too. Drop me a comment or email. Say hi on Instagram, FB or Pinterest. Oh, would you be interested in a post on how to use Instagram? A couple of basics if you’re new? Hashtags, stories, etc? Let me know that too.
Have a beautiful day.
